FAISALABAD:
A well known Ahmadi schoolteacher was allegedly tortured to death while in police custody in Rabwah city of Punjab. The Chenab Nagar police has registered a case against two accused police officials.
Master Abdul Qudoos Ahmad, 43, was detained by the police in the first week of February in connection with the murder of Muhammad Yousuf, a stamp-paper seller from the Nusrat Abad area.
He was brutally tortured during interrogations, causing severe internal injuries, Ahmad’s family alleged.
“Later, the police released Qudoos and threatened us to hush up the matter. He was admitted to a local hospital where he died due to excessive loss of blood,” said Imtiaz Ahmed, brother-in-law of the slain teacher.
SHO Khadim Hussain of the Chenab Nagar police station told The Express Tribune that they have registered a case against two police sub inspectors, Sujhat Ali and Manazar Ali, under sections 302, 148, 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
He, however, maintained that the accused was picked up on March 24 and was released two days after as the police was convinced of his innocence. Hussain claimed that Qudoos might have died of some fatal disease.
Hussain said the body was sent for postmortem examination, adding that if the autopsy proved the cause of death to be torture, action would be taken against the accused.
Spokesperson for the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Pakistan Saleemud Din condemned the incident, terming it “callous and inhuman”.
“The way Master Abdul Qudoos was tortured and brutalised is the lowest form of humanity. The Police should investigate the murder and whoever is involved should be brought to justice,” Din said.
Saleemud Din alleged that the real reason for the teacher’s arrest was to taint the reputation of the local Ahmadiyya administration of Rabwah. “Master Abdul Qudoos was the President of Jamaat-e-Ahmediyya’s local chapter and he was arrested to defame the administration.”

For whatever it is worth, Life is a gift of God to every human being, such brutal killing of anyone irrespective of their faith should be condemned and the people who commit to such crime should be held accountable for their act.
Whatever belief Master Abdul Qudoos had, it is his own malady for which he shall be accountable on the day of Judgment in front of Allah Almighty and so will all the Ahmadis in the world as a matter of fact. In this day and age where none of the representatives of the so called Elected Government nor the law enforcement agency consider Ahmadis as humans, we pray to Allah the most merciful that “May Allah almighty help the truth to prevail and protect every Human Being from such atrocities Ameen”

the murder of an innocent & respectable person in my city Rabwah.
his name was Quddoos & he was a teacher… He was arrested on 16th of Feb, from the mosque without any F.I.R… he was torchered & beaten very badly by the Members of Police in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan during the government of an Democratic Party… they sent him free on 26th march, & he past away on 30th March….
he was an innocent person.. and he was taken into the custody of police without any charge or F.I.R..& this all happened due he as an Ahmadi… he was forced to sign a paper saying that he & some of our respectable person did that murder…
i dont think that is any law or constitution which gives authority to kill any innocent…?
on the other hand the Holy Qur’an says that “the murder of an innocent is the murder of the whole man kind…”
but its nothing new… Muslims used to die in early times same like this.

it is very sad that there is no existance of law in pakistan, and especially in case of ahmadies (who are hated by the muslims of pakistan as they belong to some other spaceship or they are not humen). Pakistan is facing every kind of difficulties for last many decades just because of this kind of inhumen activities which are supported by the Religious Leaders of different sects, they think after using this kind of tricks they can make them muslims united, it is impossible.

I cannot believe how evil and closed-minded these people are who think they can get away with torturing and murdering an innocent person for the simple reason that he is of a different religion. Without any proof, and legal arrest, it is completely clear that this incident occurred just because Mr. Qadoos was an Ahmadi, a successful and pious person. What justice is this?
