An initial medical examination of a four-year-old girl in Jahanian tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospital confirmed sexual assault on Saturday.
Samples for chemical examination were sent to a laboratory in Lahore. Dr Shahida, who carried out the examination, later described her condition as ‘out of danger’ and sent her home.
Meanwhile, in a raid carried out for his arrest, Jahanian police found the house of the suspect locked from the outside. Neighbours told the police that the family had fled the house in the morning.
SHO Ghulam Mustafa told The Express Tribune that two teams had been constituted to raid the neighbouring villages to track down the suspect. He said the search would also be expanded to Khanewal and Multan if needed.
The girl’s father had reported that the child was taken to the hospital after a relative found her lying unconscious in a field in her native Ghareebabad village, in Chak 115 /10-R. *Names have been omitted to protect the identity of the victim

There is a direct relationship between social degradation and overt religiosity. The higher the social degradation the higher the overt religiosity. .. It is compensatory mechanism. Did Pakistan became more religious under or after Zia ul Haque? The answer is no. It only became more hypocritical. A sense of guilt, shame, danger and anxiety hangs over the country like a pall. I fully sympathize with the parents of the girl.

We are living in a country of beasts, criminasl, dishonests and lawlessness. What type of Muslim are we that we that keep silent over an issue of such a inhuman ans unthinkable crime.Where are our political and religious parties. Why they are not protesting over this crime. Where is Shere Punjab. He should have taken stern action against police of the area and should have sacked the SHO. If the injustices are not stopped and justice is not provided then the day is near when the God wil punish.
I have never endorsed public lynching of criminals but I will take an exception in this case, beat the perpetrators to death.
