Postings and transfers: Former air force chief appointed PIA MD

Nadeem Khan Yousafzai has taken charge as the new Civil Aviation Authority director general.

A reshuffle among top aviation officials saw Air Chief Marshal (retd) Rao Qamar Suleman take over as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) managing director on MP-1 pay scale from Captain Nadeem Khan Yousafzai.


Yousafzai has taken charge as the new Civil Aviation Authority director general, after his predecessor, Air Marshal Khalid Choudhary, saw his contract as director general terminated on Saturday.

Elsewhere, on Monday, Ahmad Bakhsh Lehri, a BS-22 Secretariat officer, will be taking over as Wafaqi Mohtasib secretary on March 31, while Javed Iqbal, also a BS-22 Secretariat officer, has been appointed Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Division (KAGB) secretary to replace Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad, a BS-21 DMG officer, who was appointed Balochistan chief secretary on Saturday.

Pakistan Reinsurance Company (PRC) Chairperson Rukhsana Saleem, a BS-22 Secretariat officer, has taken charge as State Engineering Corporation chairperson, with Munawwar Opel, a BS-21 District Management Group (DMG) officer, earning a promotion to BS-22 and taking over as PRC chairperson.

Imran Sikander, an Acting Charge Basis BS-19 DMG officer posted under the G-B government, has been transferred to the Punjab government.
