LAHORE:
At least 13 passengers were killed and dozens wounded when an over-speeding passenger bus overturned in Sheikhupura district.
The accident took place near Baghaan Wali Karyal within the Safdarabad police station limits, police said. The driver lost control over his vehicle when he tried to take a sharp turn. As a result, the bus overturned and eight people lost their lives on the spot, while others sustained injuries.
The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals in Sangla Hill and Safdarabad. More fatalities are expected as some of the injured are said to be in a critical condition.
