Crime: House burgled; man booked

Resident complained with police that thieves had stolen Rs80,000, gold ornaments worth Rs400,000 from his house

RAWALPINDI: A house was burgled in Westridge on Friday. Amjad Majeed Siddiqi, a resident of Chakra Road, lodged a complaint with the police that thieves had stolen Rs80,000 and gold ornaments worth Rs400,000 from his house. In another incident, the police booked a man on fraud charges. According to the police, Jehangir lodged a complaint with them, accusing Zulfiqar Shani of refusing to repay Rs9.6 million, which he had taken as loan from the complainant.
