KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain expressed his concern to President Asif Ali Zardari over the alleged incidents of misbehaviour meted out to women in parts of Karachi, in a rally organised by the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM). The president assured Altaf that incidents of harassing women will be thoroughly investigated and those responsible will be apprehended. People in Sindh need to live in unity and any efforts to instigate ethnic divides will not be successful, he added.  Hussain said that while every political group had the right to stage rallies, these should not be used as a cover to target citizens. The MQM chief compared the JSQM rally to MQM’s, where no citizen had been targeted, alleging that nationalists wanted to mar Sindh’s peace.
