ISLAMABAD: Senior Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that the Japanese side has been requested to further open up their market for Pakistani products in the talks, according to a message received here. He was speaking on the occasion of a flag hoisting ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo along with Board of Investment Chairman Saleem H Mandviwalla and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan Noor Muhammad Jadmani. Fahim is in Japan to participate in a business dialogue aimed at exploring avenues of cooperation with Japan. He said that Japan is not only an important trade partner but has also played a major role in the development of Pakistan. On the occasion, Fahim also called upon Pakistani expatriates in Japan to project a soft image of the country by presenting themselves as ambassadors of their country, and lauded their voluntary efforts in the wake of the devastating earthquakes last year.
