New additions: Faqeer Gokal Das joins PTI

A leader of the scheduled caste, as the secretary general of their minority wing in Sindh.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf has appointed, Faqeer Gokal Das, a leader of the scheduled caste, as the secretary general of their minority wing in Sindh. Das is also the central president of the Pakistan National Minorities Welfare Alliance. While talking to The Express Tribune, Das said that he was delighted to be a part of the party and planned to raise issues faced by minorities. Michael Javed, who heads the PTI’s minority wing in Sindh, said that by allotting an important position to a scheduled caste Hindu, the party had demonstrated that it believed in equal rights.
