Exhibition: An expo that’s all about chemistry

Students display their craft through various projects.

To showcase the creativity of science students, a four-day exhibition kicked off at the Swat Public School and College on Wednesday.


Titled “Travelling Expo”, the exhibition will be held in eight other cities and aims to familiarise students with the importance of chemistry in daily life.

“We only study or teach chemistry in theory but it is equally important to understand and apply the dynamics to everyday life,” noted an assistant professor of Jehanzeb College.

Students of various schools took keen interest in the science models at the exhibition.

Waqar Ahmed , a seventh grader seemed excited to see the models on display along with his classmates, “I enjoy science experiments and models because I want to become a scientist.”

French embassy counsellor for development and cooperation Dr Frederic Bessat said, “Education is very important for the French government and that is why we have been working with Pakistan Science Foundation for four years to promote science and education.” The exhibition was organised by Pakistan Science Foundation, Scientific, Technical Industry in collaboration with the Cultural Centre, France.
