Government, coalition, military huddle over PCNS report

Spokesperson says meeting discussed security and foreign policy related issues.

ISLAMABAD: Heads of allied parties along with the President, Prime Minister and services chief, the met in Presidency on Tuesday to discuss the Parliamentary Committee on National Security’s (PCNS) report.

Jointly presided over by the prime minister and president, discussed issues regarding the report which had been presented in the joint session of the Parliament today.

The attendees included Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed (PML-Q), Asfandyar Wali Khan (ANP), Senator Afrasiab Khattak (ANP), Dr Farooq Sattar (MQM), Haider Abbas Rizvi (MQM), Senator Mir Israrullah Zehri (BNP), Munir Khan Orakzai (FATA MNA), Engr Shaukat Ullah, Khuda Bux Rajar (PML-F), Syed Khursheed Shah (PPP), Syed Muzzafar Hussain Shah and Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar.

Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the meeting was a continuation of earlier meetings held on March 14 and 17 and discussed security and foreign policy related issues.

Others present included, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Secretary General M Salman Faruqi, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, DG ISI Lieutenant-General Zaheerul Islam, Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani and Defence Secretary Nargis Sethi.

All of them are on the same page for resuming supplies, discussions and meetings are being placed to discuss how to deceive the public, and how to satisfy them by making false promises
