Forced conversions

Letter March 19, 2012
Any society which does not protect its weakest, most vulnerable and helpless segments is headed for trouble.

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ, US: This is with reference to the editorial titled “Forced conversions” (March 18). I am firmly convinced that any society which does not protect its weakest, most vulnerable and helpless segments is headed for trouble. But such an outcome, when it does happen, will be of little solace to people like Rinkle Kumari. The fact that some people of conscience have come up to help those who are being subjected to forced conversions, will be of little comfort to these poor souls.

I fail to understand why the followers of the great religion of Islam allow this inhumanity to befall on these unfortunate people.
