Caught: Residents beat up two street robbers

Three alleged robbers were rescued on Sunday by the police after they were caught and severely beaten.

KARACHI: Three alleged robbers were rescued on Sunday by the police after they were caught and severely beaten by the residents of New Karachi. The men were on two motorcycles and were mugging passersby near Saleem Centre. They had looted four cell phones and Rs5,000 when they were caught by the people. The police said that the robbers were nearly comatose when they were rescued. SP Tanvir Alam Odho said that they were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and cases were registered against them.
