The Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) will award 999 engineering degrees at its 15th convocation which will be held on March 31 at the Expo Centre.
The 41st meeting of the SSUET’s board of governors, presided by the vice chancellor Prof. Dr Saiyid Nazir Ahmed, was held at the campus to discuss and review the arrangements for the convocation and other issues, programmes and proposals.
The degree recipients for the graduating batch of 2008 include 179 in computer engineering, 298 in electronics engineering, 102 in telecommunication engineering, 76 in biomedical engineering, 155 in civil engineering and 62 in computer science. The board approved five degrees for the postgraduate programme. The list of the 1,430 new admissions of the 2012 batch along with the appointment of 60 faculty members was also finalised. The meeting was attended by justice Fazal-e-Ghani Khan, and Prof. Dr Syed Jawaid Rizvi among others.
