By giving relief to prisoners, the President once again used his powers and privileges as head of the state. What are SC judges going to do about it? By not doing anything they have been accepting his constitutional powers to pardon for four years. Yet they keep insinuating that it is an Islamic country and nothing can happen against Islam and all are equal. However, the constitution says otherwise. To the opponents of relief, Islam is a compassionate religion and people of Pakistan do believe in some mercy on those who have already served long terms in worst conditions in jail. Why don’t the opponents of president having special powers challenge it in court?
