LAHORE: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has condemned the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)’s decision to put Dow University Sindh in charge of the National Examination Board (NEB), the licensing exam for medical graduates from abroad. In a press release, PMA office bearers said the decision to take responsibility for administering the exam from the University of Health Sciences (UHS) and transfer it to Dow had not been discussed or even placed on the agenda of a council meeting. The exam was handed over to the UHS in 2009 after a reported leaking of exam papers from Dow. The PMA Lahore, through Advocate Noshab A Khan, has challenged the decision in the Lahore High Court, said the PMA office bearers.
