KARACHI:

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced the emergency closure of all CNG station in Sindh, including Karachi, for 24 hours from 9am Wednesday, March 14, to 9am Thursday, March 15.

The spokesperson of SSGC has said the decision was taken after the sudden tripping of compressors at different gas fields.

The gas utility is facing a depletion of line pack, which has resulted in low gas pressure in the system, he added. This sudden decision will not affect the weekly CNG stations’ closure, he said.

SSGC shutdowns gas supply to all CNG stations from Saturday to Sunday for 24 hours, which is part of the weekly gas load management program being implemented owing to the demand and supply gap of gas in country.
