KARACHI: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has announced the squad for the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania zone group II second round tie that will be played on April 6 in Manila, the Philippines. The PTF confirmed that tennis ace Aisamul Haq Qureshi will be the part of the squad as the federation is depending on him and Aqeel Khan to win the tie for the country. “There were rumours that Aisam is not playing the Davis Cup, but I can assure you that he is taking time out for the tie,” PTF secretary Mumtaz Yousuf told The Express Tribune. Meanwhile, Yasir Khan and Mohammad Abid will be joining the squad as reserve players.
