Pakistan invited to UAE investment summit

The AIM aims to stimulate international trade, cooperation, strengthen global commercial bonds.

ISLAMABAD: UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Essa Abdullah alBasha alNoaimi has formally invited the Senior Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim to join the second round of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), during a meeting on Monday. The meeting is to be held from the first to the third of May in Dubai.

The minister thanked the ambassador for the invitation and accepted the offer subsequently.

The second summit of the AIM will highlight financing options and emphasise trading possibilities in frontiers and emerging markets, with a strong focus on the high growth sector. The AIM will include an executive leadership conference, country presentation, workshops, sits visits, a ministerial working roundtable and an exhibition. The AIM aims to stimulate international trade and cooperation, strengthen global commercial bonds and provide a new and diverse portfolio of investment opportunities as discussed in the meeting.

Fahim and alNoaimi also talked about the different ways with which to enhance bilateral trade. The UAE ambassador further said that the government is concerned about its expatriate labour force and works to ensure that labourers are not deprived of their rights while working in the UAE.
