The Sindh High Court, hearing the case of Faryal Shah (Rinkle Kumari), has ordered that the girl and her husband be given into the protective custody of the police, Express News reported on Monday.

Faryal and her husband Naveed Shah were summoned to the court today along with their lawyer, while some members of Faryal’s family also appeared before the court with their lawyer.

The bench said that the couple either be sent into police custody or to Darul Aman as Faryal’s family has been constantly protesting. But, they gave out a short order of sending the couple to the police, and also ordered that tight security be provided to them.

The couple has also been summoned by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry in the Supreme Court on March 26, when  he will announce his verdict.

Faryal’s uncle Raj Kumar also appealed to the court that Faryal be sent back to her family as she has been missing since a very long time.

Faryal has repeatedly told the media that she converted to Islam of her own will, while her family has constantly blamed the Pirs of Dargah Bharchoondi in Sukkur of abducting her and forcefully converting and marrying her.

If she converted herself from Hinduism to Islam at her own will then I shall request CJP to protect her and my prayers are always with her. My almighty ALLAH PAK bless her with HIS mercy and keep her (family) safe. (Aameen)
