PESHAWAR: Interior Minister Rehman Malik announced on Thursday, that shoot at sight orders have been issued to Rangers in Karachi in the wake of the target killings in the metropolis.

Talking to media personnel at the funeral service of FC Commandant Sifwat Ghayur in Peshawar, he urged political parties to unite to deal with the current challenge  as the death toll climbed to 86 since the killing of MQM MPA Raza Haider on Monday.

“I am in contact with MQM over Karachi situation,” said Malik.

Malik has claimed that non-state actors who are trying to spread anarchy in the country are responsible for the loss of life in terror incidents in Karachi and Peshawar, and that they are now targeting high profile personalities.

During his address to media representatives, Malik vowed to bring the mercenaries to justice and asserted that the entire nation is united against terrorism.
