Development: Drinking water schemes completed

PESHAWAR: To ensure provision of basic amenities of life to people, the provincial government has completed seven drinking water schemes in various villages of Wari sub-division in Upper Dir, according to a press release issued by Malakand Development Programme on Thursday. The schemes have been completed in Wari Payeen, Wari Bala, Rambial, Gogyal, Kakat, Kotkai Sultan Khel and Berarai villages. In addition to that, the district administration has rehabilitated a 435-metre road in Nau-Girgat area to provide safe transport to people. Previously, people were forced to  fetch water from afar. A 518-metre protective wall has also been built to protect the road from seasonal floods.
