Power Utility: USAID discusses performance

Lesco had a 99% collection of bills rate and managed a 23% reduction in loss.

Officials of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), led by Melissa Knight, Energy Office Director, visited the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) to discuss ongoing USAID projects.


During the visit, Lesco officials presented the results of projects undertaken by the USAID Power Distribution Programme. Melissa Knight praised Lesco for 99% collection of bills and a 23% reduction in loss in January on Nargis feeder at Allama Iqbal Town where USAID carried out a meter checking, fixing and replacement project.

I am sure such initiatives will go a long way to improving the energy situation in Pakistan. Kudos to USAID and LESCO!
