On Duty: Police officer dies of heart attack

Officer had joined the police service in 1977 as ASI and rose to the rank of SP.

SWAT: Superintendent of Police Investigation Swat Circle Sirbuland Khan, 56, died of heart failure in his office during duty hours on Tuesday, according to the  police. He had a heart attack and was immediately shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital where doctors were unable to save his life. He was also targeted by militants during the insurgency in Swat and had sustained injuries in a remote controlled bomb blast. He belonged to Manglawar village in Swat valley. He had joined the police service in 1977 as ASI and rose to the rank of SP.
