KARACHI: An employee of the Warid telecommunication company and a political party activist were gunned down in separate acts of target killing on Monday. According to ASI Mohammad Younus, 32-year-old Warid employee Asif Butt, son of Naeem Butt, was shot dead by unknown persons in Clifton block-2, under Boat Basin police limits. His body was shifted to Jinnah Medical Postgraduate Centre. The officer suggested that he might have been killed over personal enmity. In an unrelated incident 48-year-old Haji Ishrat, an activist of the Pakistan Peoples Party, was gunned down in SITE A, said the police. Ishrat was on his way home in Metroville when two men on a motorcycle shot at him. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Will remember Asif Butt always for his witty personality and a good sense of humor, he leaves behind a widow, a daughter and a son. Whoever has killed him will be judged by Al Mighty Allah! may Asif rest in peace and May All Mighty forgive Asif of any sins and has mercy on his soul.
