UAE exhibition: Buyers show interest in foodstuffs

23 leading Pakistani companies participated in the exhibition held from February 19-22.

KARACHI: Pakistani firms have impressed buyers at Dubai’s Gulfood 2012, a food and hospitality show held in the UAE, according to the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). 23 leading Pakistani companies participated in the exhibition held from February 19-22. Their products were showcased at the Pakistani Pavilion, covering an area of 184 square metres, at the Shaikh Saeed Hall of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Local and international visitors showed a keen interest in their goods and initiated serious business queries with exporters. Pakistani products showcased included rice, juices, assorted pickles, edible oil, dry fruits, herbal products, assorted syrups, frozen and chilled foods, mayonnaise, spreads, honey, confectionery items and food packaging material and machineries.
