Precautionary measures: City government gears up for dengue

Notices had been being issued to tyre-shops and they had been instructed not to keep tyres in open places.

LAHORE: DCO Ahad Khan Cheema has said the City District Government had made all necessary arrangements to cope with a possible dengue attack in the city and the administration of every town had been directed to ensure the implementation of dengue regulations. He said notices had been being issued to tyre-shops and they had been instructed not to keep tyres in open places. He said the Food Department had been directed to implement precautionary measures. He said a survey of hotels, restaurants, wedding halls and caterers had been started and was being conducted on a daily basis. He said the recruitment of men for spraying and beildars would be completed this week. DCO Cheema said action would be taken against violators.
