Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated, on Wednesday, the computerised balloting for Aashiyana Quaid Extension Project at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The scheme at Saroba Atari, in which 2,000 news houses will be constructed, is an extension of the Punjab government’s Aashiyana Housing Scheme. Sharif said that work would soon be started on Aashiyana Iqbal at Burki Road. Aashiyana Iqbal will have 8,000 houses. The chief minister said that work on Aashiyana housing schemes in Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Jhelum had also been initiated. The scheme will also be introduced in other areas of the province.
