KASUR: National Students’ Federation (NSF) will organise a convention in Kasur on Wednesday (today), NSF Punjab President Arfan Chaudhry said on Tuesday. He said the convention will be attended by students from public colleges in the district. “It is a part of series of district level conventions that began following the student body’s first ever gathering in the province in two decades in November 2011,” he said. Wednesday’s convention will be followed by similar event in Sahiwal and Gujranwala. Chaudhry said that the gatherings were being organised all over the country to press for NSF’s demands for restoration of student unions in public sector universities and an end to privatisation and commercialisation of education.
