LDA: Fifth of junior clerk jobs reserved for grade 1-4 employees

LDA also decides to provide seed money of Rs100 million for construction of a commercial centre/parking plaza.

The Lahore Development Authority has decided to allocate a 20 percent quota for jobs as junior clerks in BS-7 to its employees of BS-1 to 4.


The Lahore Development Authority’s Governing Body, meeting here on Saturday, also decided to provide seed money of Rs100 million for the construction of a commercial centre/parking plaza at Moon Market, Allama Iqbal Town. The remaining funds for the project would be generated through the sale of 67 shops in the plaza.

The Governing Body set up a sub-committee to explore solutions to the outstanding issues of Lahore Development Authority Avenue-1 and submit its report within a week.

The meeting was chaired by District Coordination Officer and LDA Chairman Ahad Khan Cheema, and attended by LDA Vice Chairman Aamir Asgher Dar, LDA Director General Abdul Jabbar Shaheen, Water and Sanitation Agency Managing Director Dr Javed Iqbal, Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency Chief Engineer Saifur Rahman, LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed, the administrators of the nine towns of Lahore, and representatives of the Local Government, Housing, Planning and Development, and Finance Departments.
