National bank: First woman becomes SEVP

Tahira Raza became the first woman in the history of the bank to reach the position of SEVP

KARACHI: Tahira Raza, Senior Executive Vice President Risk Management Group at the National Bank of Pakistan, has become the first woman in the history of the bank to reach the position of SEVP, says a press release. A business graduate from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Raza joined NBP in 2003. Prior to that, she worked with the First Women Bank and MCB Bank. NBP President Qamar Hussain, while welcoming Raza, said there is a paradigm shift in the role being played by women in the society in general and the corporate world in particular.
