Colours, laughters and fantasy were the order of the day as the SLS Montessori and School celebrated its open day on Sunday. The event that was organised for the parents of the students by the school located in Satellite Town, was an earnest effort to share the creative methods and techniques which are employed by the institution to teach the children.

At the main gate stood Mickey Mouse to receive the guests, who were ushered into the campus which was presenting a festive look. “Those who know Peter Pan surely also know Pixy “the Tinker Bell”. The school was abounded with so many “tinker bells” as every girl student of the school was dressed like one, said a teacher.

The classrooms enhanced the fairy tale atmosphere, where every class looked like an episode from a Walt Disney bedtime storybook. Cinderella was dancing in the class of Junior Montessori (Rose), while the Junior Montessori (Red) presented Rapunzel. Another classroom depicted the story of the Little Mermaid.

Similarly, Alladin, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Goldilocks all were there, the teacher added.

To ensure a greater physical participation of the guests, games were arranged. A mesmerising display of art and craft work of the students gave the proof of abundance of talent. The SLS open day ended on a positive note with the children getting appreciation for their creativity.

MPA Raja Mohammad Haneef was the guest of honour.
