ISLAMABAD: The privatisation of the National Power Construction Company (NPCC) may be completed by March this year, according to the Federal Minister for Privatisation Ghous Bux Mahar. “The pre-qualification of the NPCC has almost been completed,” he said. The government plans to sell all the shares of the company and transfer its management to the private sector. He also said that the second public offering of Pakistan Petroleum Limited was in process, and the government would sell 2.5 per cent of its holdings in the company. He added that progress on the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited’s convertible bonds had stalled due to the crisis in the international markets.
