KARACHI: A 1.5 km long and 25 meter wide canal dug by the Pakistan Navy to join Sughando and Othano rivers in the border area was inaugurated on Wednesday. A Pakistan Navy press release said that the canal would help fishermen in the area and help them work without straying across boundaries. Before the canal was created, linking the two waterways, fishermen used to sail through the Lakki river route to reach Othano river to fish.
