Non-Violent Protest: Cable operators protest against death of colleague

According to SHO Rasheed Chanyo, Qaimkhani’s family nominated their neighbour, Iqbal Malik alias Guddu, in the FIR.

HYDERABAD: The cable network in Mirpurkhas was shut down on Monday to mourn the killing of 27-year-old cable operator Zeeshan Qaimkhani, who was gunned down here on Sunday.

According to SHO Rasheed Chanyo, Qaimkhani’s family nominated their neighbour, Iqbal Malik alias Guddu, in the FIR.

Kashif Abbasi, who represents the cable operators’ union in Mirpurkhas, told The Express Tribune that Qaimkhani had quarreled with Guddu over parking of a motorcycle outside his house a few days earlier.
