MITHI: The chief of the Pakistan Muslim League (like-minded) and former chief minister of Sindh, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, who has been living in self-exile in Dubai since 2008, is planning to return to the country and contest elections. Arbab Rahim disclosed this last evening in a telephonic address at a book launching ceremony held in Islamkot, in Tharparkar district. The book, ‘Haane Ghurjeen Hit’, authored by Nashad Raham Ali, focuses on the personality of Dr Arbab Rahim. Dr Rahim said his party would field candidates across the province during the next elections. The former chief minister contended that supporters of the Kalabagh Dam and foreign lobbies of the oil trade were hindering the Thar Coal project. Claiming that he did a lot for the development of Tharparkar district, Arbab Rahim said people of the Thar desert would offer stiff resistance if they were not offered jobs in the coal projects. Without naming Tehreek-i-Insaf, Dr Rahim said his party would not support any ‘Dancing Group’. “Those talking of change are already exposed,” he said.
