PESHAWAR: Peshawar and Mardan qualified for the final of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inter-Region Girls Hockey Championship being played at the Post Graduate Girls College, Mardan yesterday. In the first semi-final, Peshawar recorded a 2-1 victory over Bannu courtesy first-half goals from Hina Qasim and Sidra Rauf. Rani Gul pulled a goal back in the 58th minute but Bannu failed to find an equaliser. In the second match, Mardan beat Hazara 3-1. Mardan Fakhra, Aasia Jan and Naima Gul scored for the victors. The final will be played today.
