Botched attack: Two militants killed trying to plant bomb

LANDI KOTAL: Two militants were killed in their own bomb blast while they were trying to blow up a bridge in the Sheikhwal area in Landi Kotal on Saturday night. Their body parts were spread in the area, local and official sources said. They were unable to blow up the bridge with their explosive material. Separately, security forces arrested 12 suspects from the Sultan Khel area during a search operation in connection with the recovery of 16 mortar shells that were recovered from a bag in the Sultan Khel area on Saturday. However, residents said the arrested men belonging to Sultan Khel tribe had no relations with the mortar shells and demanded that the administration release them.
