The 584,357 rescue operations include 40.66 per cent road traffic accidents, 53.88 per cent medical and other emergencies, 3.13 per cent fire incidents, 0.16 per cent building collapse incidents, 0.17 per cent drowning case, 0.09 per cent special rescue operations, 1.78 per cent crime calls and 0.12 per cent explosions.
The modern Rescue 1122 Fire Service has saved the expected loss of over Rs36 billion by timely response and fire fighting on modern lines from June 2007 to June 2010.
Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Dr Rizwan Naseer said that Rescuer will maintain the standards of the Service and gain respect and blessings of the public by maintaining a courteous professional approach.
Dr Naseer requested the citizens to immediately dial 1122 in case of any emergency because only timely call especially in case of a fire emergency is extremely essential for restricting fire from getting out of control.
