FAISALABAD:

A man has accused his brothers-in-law of killing his wife in the name of honour on Thursday and disposing of her body in Qadir Pur police station precincts.

Qadir Khan alleged that his wife Zahida Parveen, a resident of Mauza Bakhsha, was beaten up by her brothers Sarfraz and Mumtaz and their accomplices Ghulam Muhammad and Riaz following an argument on an alleged illicit relationship.

He said the men later shot her and took the body with them. “They warned that they will kill me if I report the crime,” he said.

Qadir Pur police have registered an FIR against the suspects on Qadir Khan’s complaint and started investigations.

Police said a team had been sent to raid the vicinity and recover the body of the deceased. Qadir said he had never suspected his wife of having an affair with anyone else.
