ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Deputy Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal ruled out the possibility of alliance with any political party in the next general elections but said that seat adjustment could be considered in certain constituencies.

Addressing a news conference at the party’s central secretariat on Sunday, Iqbal said that a draft of party manifesto has been finalised, and would be presented to party chief Nawaz Sharif on December 23 for consideration and approval.

The PML-N committee which prepared the draft has covered every aspect to strengthen the national economy and the country, he said. Commenting on the memogate issue, Iqbal said his party is not hatching a conspiracy against parliament and democracy.

“PML-N will not support any unconstitutional step,” Iqbal said, adding that he hoped there would be none, especially in the presence of ‘strong media and free judiciary.’
