LAHORE: Shafiq Masih and Matloob Ahmad dominated the opening day of the inaugural Quaid-i-Azam Open Championship. Masih, representing Lahore Gymkhana, finished six under-par 66 with 11 birdies. He was joined atop the leader-board by Pakistan number two Matloob Ahmad, representing Lahore Garrison, who shot the same score with five birdies. Earlier, Manzoor Ahmad emerged as the winner of the Senior Professionals competition following a sudden-death scenario with five players tied on a score of 74.
