Balochistan alert: Security tightened for Ashura

QUETTA: Balochistan Home Secretary Nasibullah Bazai said on Sunday that over 5,000 police personnel, 27 platoons of the Frontier Corps and 500 Levies Force personnel had been deployed in and around Quetta city as part of stringent security measures.

He said that security had been arranged in preparation for Ashura. Bazai told a press conference that arrangements had also been made in seven other districts including Jaffarabad, Nasirabad, Jhal Magsi, Sibi, Kachhi Bolan, Loralai, Zhob and Khuzdar to avert any untoward incident.
