Literature: ‘Spread Sufi message of tolerance’

Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL)’s publications on Pakistani Sufis are praiseworthy and exemplary and must be disseminated on a wider scale so that Sufi’s message of love, peace and brotherhood spread in society.


This was said by National Heritage Secretary Faridullah Khan in his visit to PAL, stated a press release issued by PAL on Monday.

He also met with PAL officers and visited various departments.

While calling PAL a significant national institution working for writers, he appreciated the special issue of PAL’s quarterly literary magazine “Adbiyat” on Children’s Literature (Selection of writings from World literature) and said that it is great that PAL is introducing world literature on children to Urdu readers.

He said the special issue should be included in curriculum and expressed his intention to personally take interest in its promotion.

He also assured that the Ministry of National Heritage and Integration desires the completion of Faiz Ahmed Faiz Auditorium’s construction so that writers get a better venue for literary activities.
