Transport: CM announces women-only buses

The passengers urged the chief minister to order an increase in the number of buses on the busiest routes.

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced plans for a separate bus service for women in the provincial capital. The chief minister boarded one of the new CNG buses run by Lahore Transport Company (LTC) for a brief ride accompanied by LTC chairman and some commuters. The passengers urged the chief minister to order an increase in the number of buses on the busiest routes. Sharif assured them that steps were being taken to increase the number.
