Intra-party polls: Asfandyar Wali to continue as ANP's chief

450 party members cast their votes in intra-party polls.

PESHAWAR: The general council of the Awami National Party (ANP) on Wednesday elected Asfandyar Wali Khan as the party’s chief for the fourth year in a row.

The polls were held at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar.

During intra-party polls, about 450 party members casted their votes. The council requested Khan to continue with his post as the party’s president.

In the polls, Haji Adeel was elected as senior vice president, whereas, Ahsan Wayeen was elected general secretary.

Senator Zahid Khan will continue his service as the party’s information secretary.
