Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar spoke to her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and briefed him about the “unprovoked Nato attack” and the Defence Committee of Cabinet’s decisions in the aftermath of the attack.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Foreign Minister Lavrov said that a nation’s sovereignty should always be upheld, even when hunting “terrorists”.
“The Russian foreign minister… emphasised the unacceptability of violating the sovereignty of states, including during planning and carrying out of counter-terrorist operations,” said the ministry.
