KARACHI:

Whether celebrities get married or have a baby, when they announce a turning point in their lives, it captures the fascination of their fans to great amazement.

In Bollywood, actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’ Souza have decided to tie the knot early next year and their actor-friends Lara Dutta and Dia Mirza wish them a happy life. “Riteish and Genelia are a perfect example of a dignified couple. Two of my favourite people who are taking their commitment to the next level,” Mirza posted on micro-blogging site Twitter. While Dutta wrote: “So happy to share in the joy of Riteish’s wedding plans!”

In response to their tweets, Riteish and Genelia, who started seeing each other during the making of their Bollywood debut, Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003, posted thank you messages.  The couple, who always remain tight-lipped about their relationship, recently admitted that they will seal their eight-year-old relationship with a wedding in 2012.

Meanwhile, actor Abhishek Bachchan, who recently became the father of a baby girl, has thanked his fans for their good wishes and is now asking them to suggest names for his newborn. “Thank you so much guys. All of you are wonderful and so sweet. My daughter is so blessed. Suggestions for names are very welcome. Something with ‘A’,” the 35-year-old actor posted on Twitter. His wife, Aishwarya Rai, gave birth to their first child on Novemver 16 at Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai and since then, the Bachchan family is receiving congratulatory messages from around the globe.
