ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) will resume hearing of a review petition against its verdict on the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) on November 21 after the appointment of four new judges, Express 24/7 reported on Thursday.

The 17-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will hear the review petition.

The petition to review the NRO judgment was pending due to the retirement of four judges.

After the recent appointments to the SC as well as the appointment of Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari as the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the review petition was included in the cause list for the next week.

The SC registrar issued notices to the concerned parties in the case.

The court had directed the present government to write letter to the Swiss Court for reopening of corruption cases in its NRO judgment.
