Kashmir dispute: APHC welcomes resumption of talks

ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has welcomed the latest announcement by the prime ministers of Pakistan and India to continue talks to resolve all outstanding issues between the two countries, including the dispute over Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a public gathering in Srinagar on Friday, APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed hope that the two countries would take bold steps to resolve their differences, Kashmir Media Service reported.

He maintained that a durable friendship between the people of Pakistan and India hinged upon a permanent solution of the Kashmir dispute as per wishes of the Kashmiri people.
