KARACHI: In response to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif’s anti-government campaign starting from October 26, we will organise a rally to fight the anti-democratic movements in the country on the same day, said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi division president Syed Najmi Alam. “The PPP leadership and activists have made sacrifices for democracy,” he said. “In October 2008 alone nearly 178 activists died because of the bomb blast at Karsaz.” The peoples youth organisation Karachi division president Abdur Rauf Nagori said that the country was going through a rough patch economically. He added that at a time when all political parties should work together, the PML-N leadership was behaving irresponsibly. PPP Karachi division general secretary Saeed Ghani and PPP Karachi information secretary Latif Mughal were also present.
